While planning and preparing the perfect meal is so important, setting the perfect table is equally important! You’ve heard the expression, “you eat with your eyes.” IT’S TRUE!
You can serve the classic Charlie Brown meal of popcorn, jelly beans, pretzels and buttered toast but if it’s set at the perfect table . . . voila! Perfection!
Look to the outdoors for your inspiration…
- Pine Cones
- Eucalyptus leaves
- Sparkling Snow
- Twinkling lights
- Cut wood
- Cranberries
Add chargers to frame the plate…
To save money, layer Lunch and Dinner plates for the same effect, or head to the wood pile and cut some wood slices and leave unfinished (my favorite!).
Centerpieces
Remember! They should be either under 14” tall or over 20” tall to ensure your guests can easily see and chat with other guests.
Place Cards
Add a unique and fun place card/favor that they can take as a small gift:
- small lantern
- small bottle of seasoning
- small candles
- small container of your “secret sauce” . . . whatever.
Whether you’re serving a formal dinner or a simple classic, just “set the table” and you will look like a pro!
